Waybill Wall

Waybill Wall lets you pin a tracking number, guess the shipper, and share the slip. It does not sign in to a carrier.

It is for anyone watching a few packages who wants one wall instead of a pile of carrier sites. It knows USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, HDX, OnTrac, and Amazon.

Under the hood

Waybill Wall is a Vite app hosted on Vercel. If Firebase is not configured, the wall stays in this browser (localStorage) and in the share link you copy.

When Firebase is configured, pinning also creates an anonymous Firebase user and syncs that wall to Firestore. Choosing “Save my wall to Google” links that same user to a Google account so the wall follows you.

A shared /w/ link carries the tracking numbers, shipper, and captions in the URL, so this server and link-preview services can read it. An older #w= link keeps that same payload in the hash, which is not sent to the server. Nothing from either link is stored in Firebase, and opening one does not create an account.

FedEx blocks anonymous tracking from the app, so a FedEx slip links out to FedEx's own tracking page. City-level status on the slip is optional. It appears only when the server has FedEx Track API credentials; otherwise the slip keeps the FedEx link.
